Cuddle a koala, hand-feed a kangaroo, walk with a Sumatran tiger and watch a crocodile strike from the water’s edge – but that’s just the beginning! Australia Zoo is the ultimate wildlife adventure, delivering conservation through exciting education. Starting out as a small family business, the expansion of Australia Zoo has seen the Irwin family employing hundreds of energetic people with a variety of skills. With thousands of visitors from all over the world passing through the gates daily, all team members understand the importance of making a lasting impression to our patrons. Australia Zoo employees love animals and conservation, have an exceptional attitude towards work and of course, wear the world famous khaki uniforms with pride! The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a 10,473 acre refuge for over 700 Lions, Tigers, Bears, Wolves and other large carnivores that have been rescued from illegal or abusive situations. Most come from law enforcement agencies when they discover people trying to keep one of these exotic animals as a pet in their house, apartment, garage or other terrible place.
