Birthing Gently was established in 2002 as Boston’s first doula agency by founder Tara Campbell, CD(DONA),BDT(DONA),LCCE In 2021 BGMH accepted an invitation to join Mass General Brigham in the “United Against Racism Project”. As a full spectrum Doula-Agency we have been committed to supporting families through fertility & pre-conception, prenatal education, pregnancy, labor and birth, adoption, loss, lactation support, assisting families as they transition into early parenthood by providing postpartum, childcare specialist services and pet services. The services we offer are provided by trained, experienced, and professional doulas.

I am the mother of five children & the grandmother of three! After raising my kids to a point where I can now allow room for other personal interests, I finished a certification course through DONA International to supplement my hands-on experience. I have assisted mothers & their partners at home, at the hospital; at natural births, epidural assisted births & cesarean sections. I have experience with single mothers, high-risk mothers; expectant parents after a loss & births with a terminal outcome. I also specialize in helping mothers after birth trauma and mothers with a history of sexual abuse. I believe birth to be a natural process that can enhance, restore or reignite a women’s innate power in her life and body. A doula embodies women’s wisdom.
