Remember- It takes a big person to think small John Patterson has been a hemp industry professional since 2012. As a thought leader in natural materials he is involved with research, product development and resource acquisition for Eco-Envision. He has been researching sustainable living methods since the 1970s and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 from Eastern Illinois University specializing in environmental education. Upon graduation, he moved to Colorado where he managed retail operations, started a furniture design and build company, founded a real estate and mortgage company and served as a lead carpenter on several commercial and residential building projects. In 1997 John designed and built his own off-the-grid home complete with its own solar-based electricity plant. He managed a system utilizing a solar array, 12- and 24-volt battery storage system, AC inverter, generator, well and septic system. He designed and installed this system before solar was mainstream and lived off-the-grid for nine years. John renovated an historic home into a restaurant and served as owner/operator of Circle Moon Coffee house for five years in Loveland Colorado. John designed and implemented curriculum for violence prevention, verbal de-escalation, self-defense and personal safety delivering life changing content to hundreds. He attained the designation of second-degree black belt in Shudo-kan karate with over thirty years of practice in the discipline.
