Tintra made a bet on a changing world. We believed the world was moving towards a multipolar financial system, where emerging economies would no longer be expected to conform to infrastructure designed for developed markets. We believed the future would not be legacy banking or Web3, but a convergence of both. We believed artificial intelligence would become the intelligence layer that made this possible. Over the following years we invested more than $250 million in research, technology, regulatory engagement and infrastructure to build that future. Today, those assumptions are becoming reality. Tintra is building AI-native financial infrastructure for the Global South. Our platform enables financial institutions, governments and multilateral organisations to onboard customers for as little as $0.20, extend access to credit to populations historically excluded from financial services, and move capital across borders with intelligence designed for the realities of emerging markets. At the heart of the platform are patented AI technologies capable of pricing risk in markets where conventional financial models struggle because the data simply doesn’t exist or fails to reflect local reality. Unlike much of the industry, we do not believe the future is built through disruption for its own sake. Financial infrastructure is a shared system. Progress comes through collaboration between governments, regulators, banks, technology providers and international institutions. Our first operational node launches in Rwanda in 2026, with a twelve-country rollout planned thereafter. Our ambition is clear: to build the financial infrastructure that connects the Global South and to help bring more than 400 million people into the formal financial system by 2030.
