Timberpad Garden Offices and Studios was a concept born out of necessity. Having organised many new build and renovation projects over the past 3 decades, founder of the Company Craig Nield, decided that working from home provided the best solution to his and his family’s life work balance. In 2001 he built his first Garden Office Studio at the bottom of the garden in the heart of the Norfolk Broads and has never commuted to his principal work place since. ‘The flexibility afforded by working from home is very liberating and allows me to be more productive than in a conventional office environment. The time I spend at work is entirely geared to achieving my goals and objectives to running a successful business rather than having to adhere strictly to set hours and a conventional office timetable’. Over the past decade several studio and office projects have been completed in the UK and in France where development opportunities presented themselves. On return to the UK in August 2010 Craig recognised, not only a personal need to have the flexibility of working from home, but also an increasing general trend for home working, with many companies now encouraging employees in certain sectors to stay at home to work. On the back of this Timberpad Bespoke Garden Offices and Studios was created and now offers an economically viable option of working from home in very comfortable surroundings.
