A 45 minute drive North will take you into the heart of Southern Lakeland and the pretty villages of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. Travel South and you will soon find yourself in the moorland of the impressive Trough of Bowland. The Fylde coast with its mix of bustling seaside resorts and empty sands are a 30 minute drive to the West.
