Tiltan Pharma is a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on the development of novel and synergistic combinations of known drugs for the treatment of cancer. The Company has pioneered a transformational therapeutic approach based on a multi-faceted intervention through the combination of agents that target different, non-overlapping mechanisms-of-action. The Company’s strategy of targeting approved drugs when developing its drug-combinations enjoys a fast regulatory pathway on the one hand and strong patent protection due to the novelty of the combinations, proprietary formulations and treatment regimens, on the other. The Company’s leading product, TL-118, is an orally administered, drug combination of four generic drugs with anti-angiogenic and immune modulation properties. TL-118 novelty is in combining and re-purposing drugs with complementary mechanisms-of-actions that are administered in a unique treatment regimen (dose and scheduling). The regimen consists of low-dose-high-frequency administration of an alkylating agent and 3 non-cytotoxic agents previously approved for human use, for non-oncological indications. TL-118 has demonstrated its safety, efficacy and broad applicability in treatment of some 200 patients suffering from a variety of tumors, either as part of compassionate use programs or in clinical trials setting. Favorable response to treatment with TL-118 was observed in patients suffering from Pancreatic, Prostate, Ovarian, Breast, RCC, and Colorectal cancers as well as from Sarcomas. The Company is successfully concluding a Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of TL-118 in combination with Standard-of-Care (Gemcitabine) as treatment for metastatic pancreatic cancer versus Gemcitabine alone. The study is conducted in Israel and in Serbia under an IND application with the results of the primary end point, Disease Control Rate measured at 16 weeks, expected by November .2016.
