Tibu aims to spread awareness of AIDS and HIV and assist in the support of children, families, and communities affected by HIV in Nairobi, Kenya, and neighboring areas. The word “tibu” means “cure” in Swahili, the native language of Kenya and Tanzania. By conducting fundraisers in the United States, we provide grants to institutions centered around child HIV care with no overhead. The foundation is able to dedicate 100% of its money to these caring assistance programs due to our volunteer staff and funding from within our administrative branch. These programs provide a range of HIV centered services ranging from medicinal research to shelter and education for infected children.
