thyssenkrupp Global Shared Services Information

In 2014 thyssenkrupp established Global Shared Services (GSS), a service organization that bundles and standardizes administrative functions worldwide in Finance & Accounting (FI), Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT) and Real Estate Management (RE) and runs those efficiently. The aim of GSS is to reorganize the transactional parts of these functions – previously performed by different units at different locations. The GSS organization comprises six delivery centers around the world in Essen and Bochum (both Germany), Gdańsk(Poland), Porto Alegre (Brazil), Thane (India), and China. Five centers are already live, in China preparation is ongoing. In the coming years the GSS organization will expand to a size up to 3,000 people from 1,200 today (may 2016). The TOP-management of GSS is based at the thyssenkrupp Quarter in Essen/Germany.
