My name is Daniel Robert and I am a London-based graphic/digital designer. I have been a professional designer since 1999 and today I love design even more than I did 15 years ago. I began my career in editorial design for Vanidad magazine and soon I move to design studios and advertising agencies such as Vasava, Teknoland, Delvico, Ruiz Nicoli Lineas, Maccann Erikson, Shackleton and Replica. During those years I designed for brands like Diesel, Vodafone, Volkswagen, CocaCola, Inditex, Mercedes, Microsoft, Telefónica-Movistar, Fox, Nokia, ICEX, Pernod Ricard or Diageo. After my time working for other agencies and studios I started my own branding/digital studio focused on small and interesting companies. With my own studio I won a Laus Award and I’ve been featured on various books and shows but the best reward was the realization that blending product, brand, graphic and UX while establishing a close dialogue with the client is the way to do good design. That realization prompted my to search for new challenges, learn new techniques and find new ways to design and so, in 2012 I moved to London. Since my arrival in London I’ve worked for a exciting startup, Digitas LBI and now OPX. During these 2 years I’ve had the change to practice better UX, apply my branding skills to rapid development projects, embrace agile, practice some service design and lots of pitching. My focus today is blending all I’ve learnt in these 15 years + lean product development, continuous improvement and service design techniques to better brand and digital products.
