Thirlwall Associates is a Chartered Landscape Architecture practice based near Oxford and we undertake commissions throughout the UK. Our experience ranges from working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on large scale infrastructure projects to designing individual development sites. We have particular expertise in river restoration, flood alleviation and habitat creation schemes. Many of our projects require extensive community consultation and we often use innovative techniques to gain as broad a range of views as possible to inform the design process. Our clients include the Environment Agency, the Heritage Lottery Fund, local authorities and private sector companies. Director Claire Thirlwall CMLI, BA Hons, Dip LA studied to post-graduate level at Leeds Metropolitan University, specialising in play and open space design. After working for an environmental charity and in community regeneration she founded Thirlwall Associates in 1996. Claire acts as an Expert Advisors for the Heritage Lottery Fund working primarily on Landscape Partnership Schemes and Heritage Grants. She is a guest writer at The Urban Times and a regular contributor at the Guardian's Sustainable Business Events. We like to be involved as early as possible - we can work with you from the germ of an idea through to a completed project.
