Thingamy is NEXT GENERATION enterprise software. First generation was about efficiency and "how you do things". • Focus was on supporting single isolated activities and organising of results. • It could only handle easily repeatable processes with little choice of “what” you do. Next generation is about effectiveness and "what you do". • Focus is on organising all activities from start to end in one unbreakable flow. • It handles any process where “what” you do is unpredictable and barely repeatable. HOW DO WE DO IT? Current solutions are designed to support single activities with focus on organising results. Thingamy on the other hand organises the activities for a value creation flow in its entirety. For that reason its core had to be a process engine, but not just any! Ours is built to handle any unpredictable flow from A to Z, and not just the reasonably predictable ones from E to F the way current solutions do. The disconnected approach of current solutions added unnecessary complexity, so we had to redesign the whole data model too: • Minimal, unique data objects that represent real world objects, directly, and one-to-one. • Relations between objects to represent knowledge, context and activities. • Retaining only the raw data from above, we can create real time reports using templates. “Thingamy is a philosophy that challenges the usual IT practices of jamming a round peg into a square hole at the expense of the client.”- SR
