Thespie's mission is to help people experience more joy, more connection, and more life by making theatre part of their lives. We build global, tech-enabled businesses that welcome and engage audiences; sustain and empower artists; and make the arts more open and equitable. Thespie aims to be the most-trusted resource for theatre & the arts—helping everyone everywhere punctuate their lives with incredible theatre experiences. Thespie.com, our online platform, helps audiences discover performances, livestreams, podcasts, artist talks, ebooks, and educational resources, and we also provide tools to help artists and theatre makers bring their shows to life and expand their audiences. We spent 2020 helping more than 50 artists showcase their talents in streamed events, and even three COVID-safe live performances in London! Today we're continuing to build audiences and innovating in how best to support the return of safe, live performance across the UK and the US. Founded and funded by theatre lovers, Thespie seeks to be an agent of positive change in theatre. We are testing more equitable business models, listening to artists and audiences about what hasn't worked well in theatre so far, and building for a fairer, more transparent, more open future.
