Theraplayce Information

Theraplayce is owned and operated by a pediatric occupational therapist with 27 years experience with special needs children. Theraplayce works with many colleges and universities to provide clinical instruction for occupational therapy students that include local colleges and universities as well as out of state programs. Our setting offers occupational therapy students the opportunity to develop skills, gain knowledge and provide goal oriented therapy to the pediatric population we serve. Each special needs child is able to receive several hours of therapist directed interaction during the day. With a vast amount of knowledge in the pediatric setting, Theraplayce provides a variety of sensory, motor, self help and socialization learning settings. Children who receive services at Theraplayce make progress and are provided daily input and modifications to facilitate skill development, eliminate fear and apprehension and gain self confidence. The staff at Theraplayce is trained to work with special needs children and is dedicated to providing quality care and education. Many children that are referred to Theraplayce have been asked to leave several other traditional day care settings due to behavior. The environment at Theraplayce allows children to interact with a variety of opportunities and behavior is more easily controlled. Many of our children will then adjust to a traditional child care setting without ongoing issues.
