Theolytics is an Oxford-based, clinical-stage biotechnology company developing differentiated intravenous oncolytic immunotherapies for solid tumours. From library to life - breaking the barrier to solid tumours. Solid tumours are difficult to treat with oncolytic viruses because most candidates cannot be delivered systemically, and because the tumour microenvironment (TME) suppresses the immune response needed for a durable effect. Our approach is built to address both problems. Our proprietary Adenovo platform applies natural selection from the world's largest adenovirus library to identify candidates with novel biology. Rather than engineering a single virus and hoping it performs, we select for the behaviours that matter - including intravenous delivery and activity in immune-suppressed tumours - from diversity that already exists. Lead candidate THEO-260 combines three therapeutic mechanisms in a single agent: killing cancer cells, killing cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), and inducing anti-tumour immunity. It achieves this without transgene arming, and is in Phase 1 clinical development, with an initial focus on platinum-resistant ovarian cancer and potential application across stroma-rich solid tumours. THEO-260 is investigational and is not approved in any territory.
