The Plough Inn's philosophy of supporting local food producers extends further than just the ingredients for our menus and we offer a fantastic array of Kentish drinks. Our 4 traditional hand pumps serve an ever changing array of high quality ales from the following Kentish artisan brewers: Old Dairy Brewery - Rolvenden Musket Brewery - Linton Hop Daemon Brewery - Newnham Whitstable Brewery - Grafty Green Gadds Brewery - Ramsgate Canterbrew - Canterbury Tonbridge Brewery - Tudley Rockin Robiin - Maidstone We also stock Owlet fruit juices from Lamberhurst and have Biddenden Bushells cider always available on draught. Keeping it local we also serve Kentish lager from Whistable brewery, Curious brew lager by Chapel down, Kent Cider company based in Faversham's Pear cider, Tydemans cider and Henderson's spiced cider and Jakes Cider, based in Staplehurst, their Ciders are slightly unusual in taste and presentation and look and taste similar to wine/sparkling wine but at the same ABV as cider, flavours include Apple (as expected) strawberries & blackberries and nettle . Local vineyards that we use include Chapel Down, Biddenden & Gusbourne Estate; we're not ones for English reds we must say, however the Pinot Noir that we have on the wine list is stunning and worth every penny! We only stock ales brewed by Kent's smaller craft brewers. A resurgence in the popularity of real ales (thanks in no small part to our friends at CAMRA) has seen some wonderful artisan brewers open for business over the last decade or so. When we can't source from Kent then we try to keep it to England stocking Hayman's gin, Sipsmith gin, Hendrick's gin, Chase potato vodka, English Spirit vodka from Cambridgeshire and also The English Whiskey Co, Chapter 6 Single Malt whiskey from Norfolk. We also offer lighter snacks over the lunch period from Tuesday to Saturday including open rolls and sausages!
