Established under Royal Charter in 1670 and number 68 in the "Order of Precedence" our Livery Company supports the Wheelwrights' Charity, the Lord Mayor and civic life of the City of London as well as the Wheelwrights' ancient craft and increasingly its modern descendant counterparts. It also has a long established affiliation with The Royal Artillery, initially established under a byelaw made by George I when in 1716 he raised his first Regiments of Artillery in Woolwich. The Company's main activity today is its Charity which focuses on providing mobility to the disabled.
