Independent boutique hotels have trended very well the past few years and we are not going away. The many big box brands offering the same cookie cutter hotel in every city are just not appreciated as much by guests nor are they as appealing as they used to be. So much so, that those big box lodging companies are creating “faux-tique” brands to stay competitive and relevant. But make no mistake, very few are actually locally owned and locally operated.
