My name is Tom Wilkerson and I am the owner and principal service provider for The Wilkerson Group. I have nearly 40 years of business experience and I have been a CPA for 35 years. During those 40 years I served in the following situations:Founder or Co-Founder of 4 (four) new businesses;Owner or Co-Owner of 2 (two) acquired businesses;Branch Manager and District Sales Manager of a $1 billion publicly-traded Microcomputer company;CFO of $150 million public-traded business with 5 (five) subsidiaries; andDirector of Internal Auditing for a publicly-traded Fortune 1000 holding company.Industries I have been heavily involved in as a founder, owner or employee include:Construction;Engineering;Building Products;Computers;Staffing;Accounting; andConsulting.Industries I have been heavily involved in as a Consultant include:Oilfield Services;Oilfield Products;Insurance;Safety;Computer Sales;Employee Leasing;Mobile Homes Sales;Pest Control;Staffing;Public Accounting; andConstruction.Educationally, I graduated from Sul Ross State University, summa cum laude, with a BBA. My major was in Accounting and my minor was Economics. I also attended University of Texas-Permian Basin for an MBA. In addition, I have attended dozens of management courses and at least 40 hours a year continuing education for my CPA certification. Whenever appropriate, we bring in additional part-time or full-time employees. We also have a few highly qualified, ethical specialists we partner with for areas like insurance, information technology and retirement planning.
