The Unity Initiative Information

TUI started as an independent grassroots organisation striving for understanding and helping to create a world free of the ignorance the leads to fear and extremism. Utilising education and support we aim to empower both vulnerable individuals and public sector staff so that they develop the necessary skills and confidence. Our approach was developed dynamically by delivering both high-end interventions and training.We understand that the issues that lead to extremism exist beyond the individual and can’t be reduced to any one factor. The Unity Initiative is dedicated to providing help, not just in the short term but on a long term continual basis. We understand that hate based extremism is an evolving threat and that situational factors can cause relapse. We therefore do all we can to support to ensure that does not happen. This is evident in The Unity Initiatives well documented success and lack of recidivism. We believe that no individual is too far entrenched to be able to turn their lives around. Active in the sphere of Counter Terrorism Intervention since 2009. Our work has gained us critical acclaim and support from academia, Law Enforcement and the Military. This allows us to build understanding and cultural sensitivity between communities and public sector staff, bridging the gap to create “UNITY”.
