The Traveling Volunteer is a community-focused social enterprise, with the mission to provide short term volunteering opportunities for the philanthropically minded leisure and/or business traveler to US destinations. We collaborate with community nonprofits, governmental/non-governmental agencies, and other groups, to offer traveling to volunteer opportunities that create lasting community impact. We believe volunteers who travel become part of the community they volunteer in. Through this type of engagement, they leave a lasting imprint to remain indefinitely part of that community. As a result, both residents and traveling volunteers can say #iamthiscommunity due to their collective connection to this place.
