The Sunset Post Information

The Sunset Post is an independent, trilingual newspaper and digital platform dedicated to serving the Sunset Park community in Brooklyn. We publish in English, Spanish, and Chinese, reflecting the neighborhood’s diversity and ensuring that local news is accessible to all residents. Our work is rooted in the belief that journalism should strengthen community life, support local businesses, and amplify the voices of neighbors who make Sunset Park what it is. Our mission is simple: connect, inform, and empower. We cover the stories that matter most to our community—local businesses, schools, cultural events, civic issues, neighborhood history, and the everyday lives of Sunset Park residents. Whether through an in-depth feature, a quick update, or a community-submitted story, our goal is to provide information that builds trust, sparks dialogue, and celebrates the vibrancy of the neighborhood. We are both a print newspaper and an online publication. In August 2025 we launched our first print issue, distributed across Sunset Park. Alongside print, we built a digital platform from the ground up, designed for multilingual access, real-time updates, and interactive features such as a community events calendar, and a story submission funnel that allows residents to contribute directly. For local businesses and organizations, The Sunset Post offers affordable advertising opportunities that keep dollars in the community. Our model blends traditional print ads with dynamic online placements, giving businesses visibility across languages and platforms. We are committed to helping Sunset Park’s businesses thrive while sustaining independent journalism. At The Sunset Post, we believe that when a neighborhood has access to trustworthy, multilingual news, it becomes stronger, more connected, and more resilient.
