The Student Competitors

Founded in 1919, the Daily Bruin is UCLA’s on-campus student newspaper. The paper offers local insight and coverage of campus events, trends, breaking news and important topics on its website and social media accounts daily. The Bruin prints on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the academic year. The Bruin is one of ten UCLA Student Media outlets. It serves as one of the largest student organizations on UCLA’s campus, with around 500 students working across 17 sections. Students serve as the paper’s editors, reporters, photographers, videojournalists, designers, programmers and more. Countless alumni from The Bruin have gone on to work for professional daily newspapers and news organizations around the world. Daily Bruin alumni have gone on to receive Pulitzer Prizes and a Nobel Peace Prize. The Daily Bruin hires new interns in the Fall and Winter Quarters of each academic year. Spoon University is a food network for the next generation where all the content is produced by college students. It's the everyday food resource for our generation, and our goal is to help you eat intelligently. We cover everything from hot local restaurants and dining hall hacks to two-ingredient treats and tips on avoiding hangovers. Spoon is powered by student contributors across the country, who now make up a network of over 3000 students at 100 campuses nationwide. Accelerated by Techstars NYC, 2015. For more than 20 years, Student Life Camphas been a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment committed to serving the Church in her mission of making disciples. Student Life Camp has hosted over one million students and adults at our summer events. We are committed to continue our work of Helping people know Christ through His Word at camp. In 2012, Student Life Camp joined the ministry of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention. Through our partnership with LifeWay, we have the ability to share the gospel of Christ even further. We are excited for the opportunity to join this global ministry and to see all that is in store for Student Life Camp in the future.
