The Shyft supports young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as they move from education into adult life. We deliver practical programmes focused on developing everyday skills, work-readiness and community participation through hands-on activities and real-world experiences. Sessions may include food preparation, customer service, creative projects, volunteering, visits into the community and opportunities to build routine, social connections and workplace understanding. Our aim is to create opportunities for young people with SEND to take part in meaningful activities that feel connected to life beyond education, while helping families access support during what can often be a challenging transition.
