The Young People’s Chorus of New York City®, founded in 1988 by MacArthur Fellow Francisco J. Núñez on a mission of diversity and artistic excellence, harnesses the power of music to fulfill the potential of children musically, academically, and socially. Through the years, the program has heightened an awareness of the ability of young people to rise to unforeseen levels of artistry. More than 1,600 children of all cultural and religious backgrounds participate in this internationally renowned program, which has been recognized with a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, the nation’s highest honor for youth programs. www.ypc.org

Sweet Adelines International is a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance. This nonprofit music education association is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women. Members extend over five continents and belong to more than 500 choruses and 1,200 quartets. Sweet Adelines member's sing a cappella, four-part harmony music, barbershop style. The music includes special arrangements of today's ballads and upbeat songs, popular show tunes, and even jazz. Members say that singing the powerfully balanced sounds of barbershop harmony provides a rich, rewarding experience. Sweet Adelines International is governed by an elected board of directors and administered by a professional staff in Tulsa, Okla. The staff manages a wide range of programs and services, including: * The Pitch Pipe, a quarterly magazine * Digital mastering of audio and video productions * Music publishing services, with hundreds of barbershop arrangements in print * Distribution of music and performance video for entertainment and education * Convention planning for events attended by 8-10,000 people annually * International Sales, an educationally focused inventory of products * Contests in quartet and chorus singing at regional and international levels * Bi-annual A Cappella Harmony Academy, Directors Seminar, Judge Training and Arrangers Workshop

The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) is a collaborative community that supports music educators and advocates for equitable access to music education. The only association that addresses all aspects of music education, NAfME, together with its affiliated state music education associations, advocates at the national, state, and local levels and provides resources and opportunities for teachers, students, parents, and administrators. Founded in 1907 and representing more than 53,000 members teaching millions of students, NAfME advances the music education profession and promotes lifelong experiences in music.
