The Rugged Mill is an outdoor specialty retailer that features quality apparel brands such as Woolrich, Pendleton, Arborwear, Royal Robbins, DriDuck and Kuhl. At The Rugged Mill, we also carry a unique blend of home goods including wool throws, quilts & pillows, ornaments & signs and much more. Plus we stock many New Hampshire souvenir & novelty items and....we now carry fashion scarves, handbags and jewelry. The Rugged Mill is independently owned and operated by Matt and Carissa Fusco and opened in June, 2010. The concept for The Rugged Mill developed when the Woolrich store in North Conway, where Matt managed for 8 years, decided to close. This lead Matt and Carissa to follow a dream of entrepreneurship. The concept behind The Rugged Mill is based on our strong belief in the quality of products that we carry. It is our ability to deliver these products to you in a unique "mom and pop" shopping experience while providing you with exceptional customer service that sets us apart. Matt has over 20 years experience in retail; working for companies such as Champion, Van Huesen and Woolrich. It was at Woolrich where Matt learned about the true meaning of "Quality over Quantity". Woolrich has a long history of providing a complete line of superior Mens and Womens outerwear, sportswear, woolen fabrics and blankets.... so it was quite evident that we would feature the Woolrich brand at The Rugged Mill. As with Woolrich, our Mission at The Rugged Mill is to continue to provide superior well-styled sportswear, outerwear, blankets and wool accessories from Brands that display high standards for quality and performance.
