The Ray Project is a marine research and conservation NGO founded in Ireland by a group of women dedicated to the education and protection of Rays and Skates. There are 11 native species that reside in Irish waters and 70% is classed as threatened, endangered, and critically endangered by the IUCN red list. Our focus is to identify and protect the nursery sites of these species. The greatest path to achieve our goals is by educating the public about their importance and getting them involved in our research as citizen scientists.
