Not only that, we highlight the pick of upcoming parties, wedding receptions, discos and kebab shop special offers. Ransom Note is the preserve of category A taste-makers, lunatics without real jobs and club & culture heads across the UK and beyond; we are the Acid House-obsessed, cross-eyed, distant cousin of Private Eye. Drawing inspiration from Jockey Slut, Faith and The Face, Ransom Note’s aim from the outset was to cast a sardonic eye across the electronic music culture, art and film world whilst retaining a degree of intelligent analysis. Over the years, regular contributors have included house legends, anarchist journalists and fox-obsessed writers. We are also blessed with a fine stable of resident wordsmiths to keep things ticking over on a weekly basis. We’re not always right but the ethos is to have an opinion on whatever we write about.
