The R3 Collaborative Information

The beginnings of the R3 Collaborative emerged in 2008, from a networking group meeting in the offices of Adolphson-Peterson (A&P) Construction Company in St. Louis Park, MN. A&P is a supporter of a nonprofit it helped found called the Construction Career Training Program (CCTP). This program focuses on training and employing ex-offenders in the construction field. In 2008, the networking group had grown to a size that exceeded the capacity of the A&P board room so an idea was born to formalize the group and expand its work. The end result was the formation of the R3 Collaborative, a nonprofit inspired by Christian principles. The collaborative continues with the purpose of bringing faith-based and secular organizations together to improve the long-term success in recovery and reentry for men and women exiting incarceration and treatment programs. The multiple areas of support needed to achieve this goal are numerous and involve a variety of specialties. Therefore, it made sense to unite these separate entities in the sharing of "best practices," innovative ideas and resources wherever there were opportunities for collaboration. These specialty areas include mentoring, housing, employment, support groups, life skills development, spiritual guidance and more. The R3 Collaborative today features participation by over 60 faith-based and secular organizations. It is an all-volunteer 501C3 nonprofit and is located in donated space in the Centre Pointe Office Park in Roseville, MN.
