The PYFoundation Information

The PY Foundation was established in 2022 and aims to increase digital access to learning for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across the Thames Valley, specifically operating in the Maidenhead, Reading & Henley On Thames areas. Our foundation sources both pre-loved tech and new devices, processing pre-loved tech through secure data erasure. Laptops and similar devices are then distributed through the various social care and school networks depending on needs identified. Around a million children and young people don’t have proper access to devices or the internet at home, lacking the necessary devices such as phones, tablets or computers, that they need to do their homework. The PY Foundation welcomes donations of pre loved laptops from businesses and individuals to help reduce this digital divide for children. Registered Charity Number 1196273
