Greece is the third largest olive oil producer in the world behind Spain and Italy. Did you know that many products labeled as "extra virgin olive oil" have been adulterated with cheaper refined oils such as hazelnut oil, sunflower seed oil, or cheap refined olive oil, to make chemical detection of adulteration more difficult? Here at The Pure Greek Olive, we never mix our extra virgin olive oil with lesser oils, and we don't add chlorophyll to make our olive oil "look right." Instead, we use artisanal methods of harvesting by hand and cold pressing to ensure that our 100% olive oil gives consumers the ultimate flavor and highest quality extra virgin olive oil on the market.
