The Pinwheel Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity providing free programs, practical help and emotional support to pediatric hospital patients and their families. Our organization serves hospitals in the greater New York area and reaches more than 75,000 children and families every year. We are funded solely by grants and private donations. The Pinwheel Project is proud to offer “a different kind of medicine”. Today’s medical research has clearly shown a vital connection between one’s mental state and the ability to heal. We find this to be especially true working with hospitalized kids. When the child is in good spirits, the family reflects that mood and the recovery process is much easier for everyone. It is our goal to brighten their day and make a hospital stay as easy as possible. For more information about us or to find out how you or your group can help, please call Sandee Martensen, Executive Director, at 914.-882-2946, e-mail us at chat@thepinwheelproject.org and please be sure to visit our website, www.thepinwheelproject.org.
