The Public Interest Litigation Support (PILS) Project use the law strategically to improve human rights and equality in Northern Ireland. The project was set up in 2009 to support the use of public interest litigation. Public interest litigation is the use of the law to advance human rights and equality, or raise issues of broad public concern. These types of cases seek to clarify or establish new points of law. We offer a range of free services to our (solicitor and NGO) members to help them take strategic cases that have human rights or equality concerns at their core.
