The OUTlander Project works to promote live music within Austin's LGBTQ community and to promote out LGBTQ artists from all creative fields. OUTlander produces two major LGBTQ music festivals in Austin each year -- the Spring Music Festival during SXSW and the Fall Music Festival during Austin Pride -- featuring one of the largest lineups of LGBTQ talent. Additionally, OUTlander produces several monthly showcases spotlighting local up-and-coming talent. Through it's website www.theoutlanderproject.com, its own weekly radio program on Austin's KOOP Radio, and its partnership with other media outlets, including therepubliq.com, an Austin-area LGBTQ website, and OutCast, a weekly news and public affairs program also on KOOP, OUTlander helps promote LGBTQ artists and their upcoming shows to a broad audience.
