NFFAR provides rescued animals with loving foster homes, many of which have children, other cats, dogs etc. Our potentially adoptable cats and dogs are exposed to a variety of different environments which helps them with socialization and the ability to handle transitions to new environments. We look for adopters who will make an informed thoughtful decision and understand that pets should be family members. Our hope is that these animals never have to experience being unloved again. To dateNFFAR has placed over 500 pets into their forever homes and has Trap-Neutered-Returned over 1,000 feral cats. The National Foundation for Animal Rescue was established as a non-profit New Jersey Corporation in 2003. In 2004 NFFAR was federally recognized by the IRS as a 501c(3) charitable organization.
