MASS is a society for anyone interested in fitness, whether you’re completely new to fitness or an experienced gym veteran. MASS offers you the chance to meet and socialize with like-minded individuals who share a passion for the fitness lifestyle. MASS incorporates different types of training including bodybuilding, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and strongman. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, gender or experience. We offer a range of events throughout the year, so whatever your preference there will be something for you. We host gym-based activities that will focus on training and improvement. We offer group training sessions, fitness classes, strength and conditioning sessions, which will be accessible to people of every level. MASS organize numerous competitions throughout the year, from powerlifting meets and strongman, to physique and bodybuilding competitions, wherever your strengths lie there will be a competition to showcase it. You also get the chance to represent the university by competing with other MASS societies from around the country. We organize socials, giving you a chance to meet everyone in the society and enjoy yourself. Whether you’ve got a physique that rivals Arnold Schwarzenegger or have never set foot in a gym.
