ARCAthens is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for visual artists to expand the discourse in the arts as well as in the local communities of Athens. Our mission is realized through an artist residency program that provides fully-funded live/work spaces that allow artists to be immersed in-and consequently respond to-the ongoing cultural renaissance taking place in Athens. The residency program of ARCAthens is designed to support each selected fellow resident for a duration of three months in Athens-covering housing, food, and transportation costs. The program is organized into three sessions per year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. For each session, four fellows (three artists and one curator) will be selected to participate. At the end of each annual cycle, a total of twelve fellows will have completed our residency program. During their residencies in Athens, participating fellows will have opportunities to meet and interact with Athenian artists, curators, dealers, and collectors. In addition, ARCAthens will arrange a program of exhibitions, lectures and community events, further encouraging the cross-pollination between artists and communities.

A pioneer in the study and scholarship of period frames, Suzanne Smeaton has framed fine art for over 37 years. Working extensively in the field of American period frames Suzanne has advised both public and private clients; conducted comprehensive frame surveys of public, private, and corporate art collections as well as American frame research projects. She has lectured to museum groups throughout the United States; researched and written educational videos; presented at numerous symposia; curated and co-curated frame exhibitions at many museums including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY and The Columbus Museum of Art, GA.

The Kolodzei Art Foundation, Inc. promotes the contemporary art of Russia and the former Soviet Union. The Kolodzei Art Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 1991, arranges art exhibitions in museums, universities and cultural centers throughout the United States, Russia and Europe. Its Board of Directors includes distinguished business, diplomatic and cultural figures in US-European-Russian relations. The Kolodzei Art Foundation also arranges Russian-American cultural exchanges, grants financial stipends to artists for the purpose of studying and working in the United States, provides art supplies to artists in Russia and the former Soviet Union, and publishes books on Russian art.
