TEACH him how to fish, and you feed him for a LIFETIME." - Chinese Proverb The Mencia Foundation, Inc. was created to continue the efforts of Miguel and Argentina Mencia in supporting and encouraging education by providing to those in need. We invest in education and in youth, two major factors affecting today's society and what will determine our future. The Mencia Foundation is dedicated to giving to underpriviledged schools and communities in Dominican Republic what many of us take for granted - the resources to receive an education and thus the opportunity to get ahead. This includes donating clothes, shoes, uniforms, school supplies, and more to students of low-income. And, we're just getting started! MISSION: To empower those who seek to better their lives through education by fascilitating the resources necessary to accomplish this. VISION: A society where the American Dream is encouraged and more attainable, not only in America, but in various parts of the world.
