The Master Locksmith Information

The Master Locksmith was started in 1996 out of the back of a Colt Vista, when Greg Rash couldn't find work in the local Sequim area in his field of expertise. Knowing that he wanted to settle in the area, and after commuting for several months to Seattle where he worked as a sales rep for a locksmith wholesaler, he decided to use his many years of expertise in the field and open up a company in Sequim. After the first year as a mobile only locksmith and being very well received by the community, it was then decided that a physical location should be opened. The original location of the shop was on Sequim Ave. A few years where there was little to no parking spaces for walk in customers, his business partner and he decided to move the shop to its current location at 445 W. Washington St. When they first moved the shop to this locale, it was set up as a safe distribution warehouse with over 300 safes on the floor. As time went on, it was decided that since so many customers who came in to shop safes wanted special orders, the distribution part of the business was closed but the locksmith store remained strong. In 1999, The Master Locksmith brought a new decorative door hardware line into the community. Emtek was well received by our many customers with not only its beauty and reasonable pricing package but its versatility as well. It truly was a great addition to the store. Our show room has a generous amount of Emtek displays, where our customers are encouraged to "feel" the product so that they can see how well built it is and how comfortable to use. We attempt to stay abreast of the technologies of our industry; keeping up to date with transponder technology and believe in educating our customers to the changes that are continually occurring within our industry. We encourage you to stop by and view our antique lock collection, which is located just inside our store to the right.
