Giulio Lella is an Italian-born photographer who currently resides in Sydney. He grew up in Puglia, Italy where he discovered his interest in photography at an early age. He later moved to Rome to study photography before making Sydney his home in 2012 and pursuing his photography career under the name 'The Luft'. His portraiture style has a fashion and cinematic look and diverse cultural backgrounds. Giulio's photography interests extend to commercial, food, and fashion photography, and his creative identity is often featuring cinema and music. 'Luft' is a German word meaning 'Air'. Air represents freedom of creativity, an impulse one cannot constrain nor tie down, and translates into the process every artist goes through when conveying an idea into an image.
