The Link is a nonprofit organization established in 1999 to reduce and prevent juvenile crime and delinquency. We provide a single point of entry for assessment and community-based 24 hour services for youth challenged by life issues such as truancy or delinquency, or participating in risky or anti-social behaviors, such as criminal activities, gang affiliation or substance abuse. By on-site screening and thorough assessment, youth are referred to appropriate intervention services in order to prevent initial or repeat youth offenses, to seek alternatives to detention and increase academic success. The comprehensive assessment process begins with a family centered, strength-based approach and evaluates the youth's needs in a wide range of areas, including substance abuse, mental health, education, family dynamics and other needs. The Link case managers have specialized training in assessing, crisis intervention and family mediation in order to support, advocate and offer services to provide youth and families with the greatest opportunity for success.
