TKM started in September 2002 in Castle Hill, sharing factory space with Board and Benchtops (formerly Pinewood Performance), a family business that supplies kitchen and joinery companies. Director Darren McKavanagh hired his first employee, an apprentice, in January 2004 and that employee is still part of our team today. Our small business has grown considerably over the years. In 2007 we moved our operations to Brookvale as the majority of our clientele was on the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. In 2009 we expanded our services and began TKM Interiors to reflect our considerable expertise and growing capabilities in custom joinery. In 2015 we expanded our premises and built a custom-designed showroom and office space to better showcase our work and products and finishes. Today we have a team of 12, ranging from highly experienced project managers to a number of apprentices at varying stages in their apprenticeships. As testament to the excellent service we provide, and the high quality work we produce, approximately 90% of new clients are referred to us by our existing or past clients.
