Chicago Cares mobilizes volunteers to build a stronger, more unified Chicago. At Chicago Cares, we empower people to roll up their sleeves to solve the city’s most pressing challenges. Through the power of the volunteer experience, we bring people together from all Chicago neighborhoods. Chicagoans learn that they can and must be agents of change. Volunteers meet immediate needs while simultaneously breaking down barriers and creating a movement for long-term change, connecting with new people and building trust, empathy and understanding. What’s the ultimate goal? Chicago Cares envisions a city where we’re all active participants, fully invested in the city we call home and the success of all of our neighbors.

Activate Good is a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit serving Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the Triangle region, NC. Our mission is to activate volunteers to help charitable causes in our local community. We work to connect individuals, groups, and companies to volunteer needs with partnering nonprofits around the Triangle, and empower the next generation of young volunteers and community leaders through our youth programs. Cottonwood Institute (CI) is an award-winning educational non-profit organization based in Denver, Colorado. Vision & Mission: CI’s vision is to awaken the changemaker within every student. CI is on a mission to connect middle and high school students to nature and inspire them to protect it. How We Do It: CI believes that we can’t expect students to care about the environment until they first have an opportunity to explore nature and develop a powerful connection to it. CI has taken an innovative approach to the challenges facing youth today by offering programs that build community and support confidence-building outdoor skill development through immersive environmental education and student-directed civic action. Since 2004, CI has served over 7,185 youth in the Denver Metro Area, including Boulder, Denver, and Aurora.
