In 2005 Margaret Howat was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. The treatment is punishing and extremely experimental, and through the guidance of Professor Tessa Holyoake (Professor of Experimental Haematology at The University of Glasgow) and her team, she has had a Bone Marrow transplant and now leads a very normal life. The Howat Foundation was founded by Malcolm and Margaret Howat in 2009. We are proud to support cancer research at the University of Glasgow, and we hope that you will join us.
