The Horizons Program Information

The Horizons Program works with students who have experienced disadvantage to place them in internships within corporate businesses in Sydney. The aim of the program is to lift the life aspirations (horizons) of these students by experiencing what a job may be like in many of the biggest businesses in the city. The Horizons program works closely with students, their schools and the businesses to find a find the right match for each student. Having a place in a corporate workplace is something few of our students have ever thought of, and by providing this opportunity for them, it allows their confidence and and life skills to greatly improve. Since founding The Horizons Program in 2010 we have placed more than 30 Horizons Scholars into corporate businesses around Sydney. Throughout these placements the scholars have been managed and mentored by individuals from those businesses, their schools and The Horizons Program. We are fortunate to work with wonderful people in the businesses who commit to helping these young persons learn and become confident in a workplace and world completely foreign to them.
