The Home Shop Machinist truly is a magazine for hobbyists, by hobbyists. Our authors are fellow subscribers and readers, sharing their projects and experiences. The Home Shop Machinist is a product of Village Press Publications, located in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. Created in 1982, The Home Shop Machinist was our second "metal" magazine, with Live Steam & Outdoor Railroading being the first. Other hobby titles we produce include Machinist's Workshop and the newest, Digital Machinist.
