The Hangman Competitors

The New Zealand Comedy Trust is a key part of the comedy ecosystem in Aotearoa. The Trust operates in a space that connects comedians, audiences and investors by running an adaptable programme of year-round activities that amplify comedy on all stages, strengthen connections between artists and audiences, giving our independent comedians opportunities to nurture and push their creative work, and make Aotearoa the funniest place in the world during the month of May. Our vision an purpose is to champion the craft of comedy, so that everyone can share a laugh. We do this by: - Providing development opportunities that support comedy career pathways and build sector capability - Building connections and partnerships that grow and strengthen the comedy community - Developing comedy platforms and channels that grow audiences including putting on the NZ International Comedy Festival every year - Supporting the wellbeing of the people involved in our comedy activities - Being champions for comedy to support sector growth and investment - Strengthening our financial sustainability to deliver on our purpose into the future
