The Good Shepherd Preschool and Day Care Information

As an educational ministry of Highway Assembly of God, The Good Shepherd Preschool is dedicated to providing a strong academic program that integrates Christian character and biblical truths into every area. Our purpose is to train children to be academically prepared for kindergarten, to be spiritually prepared for Christian service, and to develop a lifelong Christian worldview. We offer both a half-day and full-day preschool program (3-days-a-week and 5-days-a-week options) that begins with low student-teacher ratios in all of our classrooms. Classroom experiences are enriched by music and physical education programs, arts and crafts, educational learning centers, dramatic play, creative play, socialization, field trips, story times, free play indoors and outdoors, and numerous extra-curricular activities based upon Christian principles. Every student will gain phonic and early reading skills, introductory mathematics and science skills, as well as handwriting and fine motor enhancement. Our student day care program runs weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for children in grades K-5. We will provide families with a safe and supportive option for their students currently having to do distance learning. Students will be able to access our on-site WiFi using their laptops or Chromebooks to do their schoolwork. Day care staff will be available to assist students with their assignments and will supervise additional programmed activities during the day. Both 3-day-a-week and 5-day-a-week options are available, as well as before-school and after-school programs.
