The Global Foundation Information

The Global Foundation is an influential global network of citizens who are committed to making a difference in contributing to a sustainable future for Australia and the world. Our mission is to facilitate engagement and dialogue amongst the community to encourage mutual understanding, harmony, goodwill and fraternity in the interests of long term sustainable development and international engagement for Australia and the world. Launched in 1998 in Australia, The Global Foundation was the brainchild of a small and motivated group of Australians, who understood their collective responsibility as leading citizens, to contribute to a more sustainable and positive future in both the national and global environments. To enable this contribution, it was necessary to create a forum which would be free of vested interests, and could support governments, industries, institutions and others, to help create the future. The Global Foundation has enjoyed working relationships with over 40 national governments and most of the major international institutions over our lifetime; such that we often bring together senior figures for informal and trusted discussions to explore some of the most challenging long term issues facing our region and the planet. On behalf of our members, we create and facilitate world class programs, which address important national and global issues and involve the world’s most influential decision makers. Through these programs, our members engage with an extraordinary and influential global network in ways which are not available through the ‘normal’ channels.
