The Gallyry was founded by Ally Faughnan in 2019. After researching the (lack of) representation of women in arts journalism, Ally decided to create an online magazine dedicated to championing women in the arts. When the pandemic hit, creatives needed more than ever to collaborate and showcase their work online. The Gallyry evolved to focus on providing a platform for emerging creatives, keeping its support for women and non-binary people at the heart of its mission.
